LB Facilities Limited offer a cost effective solution for the legal requirements of Emergency/Escape Lighting Periodic Inspection and Testing in all areas including domestic, commercial and industrial premises. All testing is carried out in accordance with Institute of Electrical Engineers BS7671 17th Edition, Wiring Regulations Guidance Note 3 and BS5266. You can never predict when you may need it, so it's vital that your emergency lighting is of highly quality and regularly tested to ensure it complies with BS 5266.
Our experience is supported by our membership of the Electrical Contractors Association, (ECA), and Elecsa Competent Persons Scheme for Part P. Our client base ranges from Local Housing Association to multi national companies.
Why do you need Emergency Lighting in your premises?
Emergency/Escape lighting is used to provide illumination for safe movement of persons along escape routes and through the exists provided to a place of safety when the supply to the normal lighting or parts of the normal lighting to occupied premises fails. This requirement is for all types of property excluding private domestic premises, but its provisions are applicable to common access routes within multi-storey dwellings.
It is a requirement under BS5266 that the emergency/escape lighting installations are regularly serviced.
What do I get following the Emergency/Escape Lighting Periodic Inspection and Test?
Following completion of the periodic inspection and test we will submit a certificate in hard copy and electronic format detailing:
• Details of the installation
• Schedule of items inspected and tested
• Details of deviations
• Observations and recommendations
• Quotation for remedial repairs, (if required).
